RussAnn & Anslea
The Yoga Spa Founders
As dedicated entrepreneurs and self-care advocates, RussAnn and Anslea envisioned a haven for individuals seeking internal wellness and balance. With their own experiences as inspiration, they embarked on a wellness tour, visiting various yoga, spa, and fitness facilities in the Edmond and North Oklahoma City areas.
While they found many individual amenities, they noticed a lack of a cohesive vision for overall well-being. Refusing to settle, these female business owners continued their pursuit of the ultimate self-care destination.
Their explorations led them to discover the unique offerings of spas, resorts, and retreats, including mountain yoga retreats, Chinese massage and reflexology, and rejuvenating saunas in Mexico. Inspired by these experiences, RussAnn and Anslea were determined to create a genuine and inclusive space for community members to be authentic and find a sense of belonging.
And so, The Yoga Spa was born, with the mission to cultivate laughter, friendship, and a supportive community. To bring their vision to life, these two best friends handpicked a team of experienced and passionate wellness professionals who share their commitment to guiding individuals on their journeys.
As they strongly believe, self-care is essential, exhilarating, and enjoyable. Come and see for yourself at The Yoga Spa!

Spa Founder & Owner
As a female entrepreneur, wife, and mom my wellness journey took a back seat to family dinners, taxi services, homework, date night, managing customer needs, marketing, and payroll. There was always something else that needed to be done and someone else that needed me. That’s what women do. We put everyone else first. That all changed in 2019 when I stepped onto a yoga mat for a little “me time”. What I thought was just another exercise class became so much more. My mat was the catalyst that led me down a journey to a more holistic lifestyle, and I found myself surrounded by a strong and supportive community.
In 2022 I began what I lovingly refer to as my wellness tour with my bestie. We both found ourselves in a new season of life, and it was time for friendship, growth, and adventure. We went to every type of yoga class imaginable, bungee fitness, reiki circles, herbology classes, yoga retreats, spas, meditation classes, float tanks, mindfulness classes, sauna pod sessions, cold plunges, acupuncture, organic body wraps, and yoga teacher training. We dove into wellness books, podcasts, Netflix series, online courses, and anything else we could get our hands on or experience first-hand. There was not much we did not try, and we did it all together!
This journey of learning and adventure turned into a passion, and that passion turned into a business idea. The Yoga Spa, a wellness community was born. Our vision at The Yoga Spa is to create a wellness environment full of love, laughter, learning, friendship, and adventure.
Anslea Steele
Spa Founder & Owner
The many twists and turns of life led me to the yoga mat. When my close friend invited me to join her for a yoga class during a difficult life transition, I thought I was going for a stress-relieving, sweaty, exercise class. Instead, I discovered a practice of needed movement, inner calmness, and self-awareness. I was surprised to find that yoga helped me to “step out of my head” and find more ease.
After practicing yoga for one year, I decided to take a huge leap of faith and enroll in a 200-hour yoga teacher training program. My goal wasn’t necessarily to teach yoga but to accelerate my practice and to study yoga intensively so I could understand how it had helped me in the surprising ways that it did. I quickly realized this was a study that would, most likely, take a lifetime to unravel.
Through my yoga journey, a new community of friends began to emerge in my life. I found like-minded people of all backgrounds that built friendships around yoga, fun, laughter, and wellness. This spurred on an idea for a new business adventure with my friend, and now business partner, RussAnn. We decided that more people should be able to enjoy yoga and other aspects of wellness and self-care in one special place. We envisioned creating a community where people could come as they are, grow together, and support one another through the twists and turns of life.
And now here we are . . . at The Yoga Spa, sharing our vision and dream with others! I hope you can bring your genuine self and enjoy an environment of laughter, relaxation, and self-care as we all experience life together.
When I’m not spending time at The Yoga Spa, you will find me running another business I am passionate about, Kumon Math and Reading Center of Edmond North, and spending time with my family, especially my two adult children, Braden and Abby.
Jodi Morris
Spa Manager, Holistic Aesthetician, Life Coach
Holistic living has been a passion of mine since the early 1990’s. My mother was an herbalist and aromatherapist, owned a holistic spa, and farmed a small herb farm southeast of Duncan, Oklahoma. Some mothers take you shopping for shoes; mine took me to herb festivals and reiki classes. I loved all of it!
I followed in my mother’s footsteps and became a holistic aesthetician in 2020. I enjoy teaching others about clean products and a chemical-free lifestyle. In my interest to discover more about the mind, body, and soul, I also became a certified life coach. I have long been interested in psychology and self-discovery. I am currently completing my master’s degree in psychology with plans to graduate in 2027.
I reside in the Western District of OKC with my two spoiled rotten dogs. Gypsy is my one-year-old Boston terrier that exhibits very sharp squirrel-hunting skills, and Bosch is my five-year-old white boxer that is possibly the most chill dog on this planet. I am very artistic and love to dabble in every medium of creativity. I tried my hand at writing and published my first book in 2017. Reading is also an interest of mine, as are a number of incredible podcasts available these days. I enjoy my time with friends and family and try to make the most of this beautiful life I have been given.

Licensed Massage Therapist
In the spring of 2022, in my late 30s, I found myself shifting into a new season of life. With a certificate to practice massage therapy and a deep desire to use my healing and nurturing personality massage felt like coming home.
During my training I explored different forms of massage adding many tools to my “tool box” and found myself drawn to the gentle touch work of Craniosacral Therapy (CST). I have found that engaging with the body in an energetic manner and allowing the client’s body to release tension and unwanted “yuck” gives longer lasting results and a deeper sense of calm.
More than anything I have enjoyed being a safe and calm place for my clients to learn a little more about who they are on their healing journey. It is my greatest hope to help others “Find Wholeness In Healing.”

Licensed Massage Therapist
I am a Nationally Board Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist who has nearly 18 years of experience in bodywork. I have spent over half of my career specializing in medical massage via the chiropractic and wellness fields. My true passion is promoting holistic health by addressing the root causes of pain whether physical, mental or spiritual. I am a trauma informed therapist who is continuing my education in somatic therapy and breathwork. I truly believe in healing through therapeutic touch and in personalizing each massage using various techniques.
I am well versed in multiple modalities such as deep tissue, Swedish or relaxation, lymphatic drainage, Lomi Lomi, myofascial release, trigger point, hot stone, prenatal and light stretching. In each session I take great care to listen to the body, as well as the client’s concerns, and I create a treatment specific to them.
When not at work, I am deeply immersed in family life. Whether it’s playing make-believe with my daughter or supporting my son’s music career, I know that intentional time and interest in my kids greatly impacts their future. I love being in nature and am convinced that fire pits foster great conversation. But what truly brings me joy is cooking for those I love and having snuggly couch time, watching movies, with my loving husband.

Hi there! I specialize in a variety of modalities that cater to the diverse needs of our clients. From the gentle strokes of Swedish, the rhythmic movements of Lomilomi or meditative Thai Yoga Massage, I strive to create a unique experience for each individual. My training in Trigger Point, Migraine Therapies, Myofascial Release and Lymphatic Drainage Massage assists me to address more complex issues. Plus, I offer safe and soothing Prenatal massage for all the amazing moms-to-be out there!
At 16 yrs old, I felt a pull toward holistic wellness, but it wasn’t until I began my formal training at Mueller College for Holistic Studies in San Diego where I studied anatomy, physiology, and the intricacies of the human body that I truly discovered my calling. Their vibe and knowledge ignited my passion for healing. I later attended Ashdown College of Health Sciences in Redlands, California where I learned about diseases and how they affect our physical and emotional well-being.
In Ojai, California, I explored the deon Thai Method of massage that introduced the somatic aspects of the body, the importance of movement and flexibility for achieving overall wellness. It transformed my approach to massage therapy and I began to refine my techniques to blend therapeutic touch with mindful movement and intention.
The power of massage therapy has transformed not only my life but also the lives of those I have the privilege to work with. The Yoga Spa is a safe haven where clients explore their own mind, body, and spiritual connections and I take great joy in supporting their holistic approach to wellness. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to guide my clients toward balance and harmony in their lives. I look forward to what the future holds on this incredible journey.

Growing up as a highly intuitive introvert, I've always been better connecting with others non-verbally. If you've ever heard someone say "they speak with their eyes", that definitely describes me. Trying to find the right words was often frustrating so I learned to communicate in other ways that came more natural to me. I relied heavily on my own intuition. I paid attention to body language, facial expressions, and the energy someone held. After high school, I immediately began pursuing a career in massage therapy and earned my certification from Central State Massage Academy. My personality, desire to serve others, and natural talent fit this profession so well.
I am trained in the following modalities: Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, geriatric, reflexology, and chair massage. I incorporate trigger point therapy and light stretching into most sessions. The areas of the body I enjoy working the most are the scalp, neck, hands, and feet which often get overlooked. I learn so much about a person's issues by working on their feet. I also have such a deep love working with geriatric clients that may not get to be touched very often. I have a deeply relaxing, melty flow that puts most everyone to sleep, and I take that as the highest compliment.
I've now spent half my life in a massage room kneading away on someone's back; perfecting stretches and moves until they become second nature. Working on my pressure and breath work. Holding space for each person who found their way to my table. Getting lost in the flow. I am proud to be in this profession and feel so fortunate to still be putting out incredible bodywork. If you've ever been on my table, thank you for trusting me. If you haven't... this is your invitation!

Licensed Esthetician
Growing up, I never knew exactly what I wanted to be, but one thing I always knew was that I had a passion for skincare and overall health. At 21, I discovered the world of esthetics and realized I could turn that passion into a career. I moved from Stephenville, Texas to Austin to pursue my dream at Aveda Arts and Science Institute. After gaining valuable experience at Milk + Honey, I eventually made the move to Oklahoma. As a family-oriented, devoted dog mom, I’m deeply committed to fostering a community that celebrates authentic beauty. My mission is to help others feel confident, empowered, and healthy, inside and out. Along this journey, I’ve also tapped into my artistic side by making soaps, candles, jewelry, and even learning how to sew a wardrobe for my Boston Terrier baby. Creating things by hand is not only a rewarding process but has brought a sense of purity and mindfulness into my everyday life.

Aubrey G.
Yoga Teacher
I began my yoga journey in February of 2014. Initially I started attending classes to help relieve stress from an unhappy job life but quickly realized there was much more to this practice than anticipated.
I obtained my 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Core Power Yoga in Dallas, Texas and began teaching in October of 2015. In 2020, I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease and began an uphill battle regaining my health. My practice and teaching took a much gentler and nurturing approach by focusing more on breathing and on gentle movements to build strength and flexibility. I also prioritized taking time to learn more about my students and how I can best support each one in their healing journey.
My passion for promoting deep rest and relaxation can be felt in all my classes as my goal is it to teach others to wholly connect inward, regulate the nervous system, and provide a safe space for greater understanding and nourishment of self. When I’m not on the yoga mat, I enjoy exploring with my husband and son, getting outdoors, being creative, reading research, and listening to music.

Yoga Teacher
I began my yoga journey in 2015 following a significant life transition. As a means of navigating challenging times, I turned to running and yoga (completing over 60 half marathons), finding solace by helping process thoughts and becoming a healthier person, both physically and mentally. While running set me on a positive, healthy path, yoga provided a deeper level of self-awareness, balance, and inner peace. Building on my yoga journey, in August 2023 I began yoga teacher training at You Power Yoga to bring a deeper understanding of myself beyond physical fitness and to provide service to others.
I'm passionate about classes that blend philosophy, flow, and challenge, especially power yoga, both as a practitioner and instructor. Teaching VinYin, Yin, and “slow burn” classes also brings me joy as I aim to cater to my students' diverse needs.
Deanna R.
Yoga Teacher
About a decade ago my journey with yoga began at a time when I really needed it the most. Instead of taking the traditional route, I gave yoga a chance after hearing positive praises from friends and family.
My life was changed by a gifted instructor who helped me love the journey of healing. Now, I find purpose in guiding students through their own practice. Teaching and seeing students unlock new and beautiful discoveries about themselves every day is special, and I am honored to be able to hold and create space for that magic to happen. It was uncomfortable, challenging, and one of the best decisions I could have ever made for myself.
I earned my 200-hour teacher training while living in Los Angeles. In spring 2021, I earned my 500-hour training. I am also an Okuden and Shoden Reiki practitioner, herbalist, spiritual and meditation coach and sound healer. I will continue to pursue more education and share that knowledge and wisdom with others.
I enjoy teaching vinyasa, yin, meditation, and sound bath classes. I put emphasis on breathing as it is the best tool for mind/body awareness and connection. The flows are simple, yet aligned and powerful. Breath is a beautiful and fluid action to focus and hone in on so I value and instill it in all the classes that I lead. I also emphasize and spend much time focusing on the mind. We will learn different meditation practices in every class, and I will close each practice with a sound healing experience. You will leave each class feeling grounded, strong, peaceful, and empowered.
I look forward to connecting and flowing with you soon.

Erin G.
Yoga Teacher
Erin was first introduced to yoga in 2001 when her adventurous spirit led her into a class offered on a cruise ship. Since then, yoga has been a steady anchor through the many shifts and flows of life. In 2007, she completed her 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in Austin, TX, and her teaching style has grown to be nurturing, warm, thorough, inviting, and fun.
Over the years, Erin has taught a wide variety of classes including vinyasa flow, prenatal, gentle/restorative, deep therapeutic stretch, and beginner series. She is currently a 500-hour E-RYT with more than 1,000 hours of training. Most recently, she completed a 3-year yoga therapy program at Practice Yoga Austin (2020–2023), which has inspired her to weave more therapeutic elements into her teaching.
Erin and her family have lived in Austin, Northern Virginia, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta before happily settling in Edmond, OK. While living in Pittsburgh, she opened and operated her own yoga studio for five years, cultivating a vibrant and supportive community. Though she deeply valued the experience of running a studio, Erin is now embracing her true passion—teaching.
Outside of yoga, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, her mom, and their lively household of 11 pets. She loves traveling, live music, and cooking. Erin is honored and excited to be a part of The Yoga Spa community.

I’ve always been a very active person and have enjoyed high energy/high impact workouts, but a foot injury forced me to change my exercise routine. I had never considered yoga because I didn’t think of it as a workout. Boy was I wrong!! Once I tried my first power yoga class, I was hooked, and it became my new obsession!
Not only is yoga an excellent and challenging workout, itis a mind, body, and soul experience. I’ve learned to be more in tune with my body and my mind while breathing through yoga poses. I feel like I’ve accomplished something wonderful for myself after every single class. That feeling inspired me to get certified in aerial yoga so I can share my love of this beautiful practice with others!
While pursuing training in aerial yoga, I stumbled upon another passion – sound healing. It has been a surprising journey that has led me to play singing bowls, gongs, ancient drums, chimes, and many other beautiful instruments. By allowing the sounds and vibrations to resonate through the body, my clients can experience the release of pent-up energy and allow the body to find stress relief and relaxation. I look forward to sharing my sound baths and aerial yoga classes with you!

I became RYT-200 in 2004, studying with Valerie Kit Love, O.T. In 2015 I finished my 500-hour certification with Namah Shivayah at the International School of Yoga in Dallas, led by Tej Monga. That school introduced me to Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative, and Kids’ Yoga; it made me dive into the study of Sanskrit language and yoga philosophy. I studied with Kathryn Budig and Doug Keller, received certification in Kids Yoga with Shana Meyerson and in Aerial Yoga with Amy Miller. I recently completed Gentle Somatic Yoga levels 1 and 2 online courses led by James Knight. Over the years, I have also taken numerous workshops and classes.
I believe that gentle, persistent practice can make you stronger than the occasional power yoga class. It’s okay to give yourself some grace and to do what your body needs each day. I also believe that the most important part of a successful class is a connection among people. That connection makes students come back and stick to the practice. In turn, commitment to the practice will help your improvement.
I truly care about my students, read the room for my cues and instructions, and encourage everyone to work at their level, providing plenty of modifications. Yoga practice is not just about becoming stronger or more flexible; it is about getting to a physical and emotional state in which one can be present and experience life fully, no matter what it brings.
Originally from Belarus, I have been living in Edmond for the last fifteen years. I am a wife, a mom of three, a dance and Pom mom, a friend, and a neighbor. I love reading, traveling, spending time with my cat, painting watercolors, and taking ballroom dancing classes with my husband.

My journey into the world of yoga began in 2018, and it culminated in achieving my 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification towards the end of 2019. My educational background in Exercise Science, coupled with 9 years of hands-on experience as a personal trainer and other specialized certifications, made the transition into yoga feel like a natural progression. I view myself as both a perpetual student and a facilitator of a safe space where individuals can authentically express themselves.
Integrating yoga into my daily life has provided me with a platform for introspection and self-discovery. The time I spend on the mat allows me to cultivate mindfulness and be present with my experiences in the world, no matter what each day brings. Currently, my work centers around guiding practitioners of all ages in developing and nurturing their own personal yoga practice, both on and off the mat. This involves not only physical postures but also incorporating yogic philosophy and principles into everyday life.

I began my yoga journey in the early 2000's as a way to explore a new form of movement and mindfulness. After falling in love with the practice over and over again, I decided in 2023 to immerse myself in yoga knowledge and philosophy by completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training. I continue returning to the mat to quiet my mind, connect with myself, and find balance in an otherwise busy life. My goal is to facilitate classes that are inclusive and empowering.
When I’m not practicing yoga, I'm raising two amazing kids, gardening, walking, reading, singing, teaching, or nurturing connections with people and places.

Seeking relief and balance, she discovered yoga in college and instantly fell in love with the practice. Yoga became not only a tool for stress management but also a pathway to physical healing and profound self-love.
In Rachael’s classes, you’ll be encouraged to honor your body exactly as it is. Her teaching emphasizes body appreciation, positive self-talk, and intentional movement. Expect to feel seen, supported, and empowered—whether you're flowing through a sequence or resting in stillness. Hands-on assistance is always available and completely optional.
Come as you are, and leave feeling deeply connected to your body, breath, and inner strength.

I have been teaching yoga since 2016, and I love to share my passion for staying active and healthy with others. Yoga has been a beautiful and life-changing gift for me over the last twenty years, bringing a deeper sense of peace, balance, and mindfulness in my life, both on and off the mat. I love sharing the many benefits I have received in practicing yoga with others.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time dancing, hiking, volunteering, cooking, baking, and hanging out with my husband and our four adult children.

My passion for exercise and movement started early in my life, and I’ve been fortunate to transform that love into teaching others about movement and mobility. I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life because, ultimately, we are all on the same journey. After earning my 200 RYT in 2020, I began teaching yoga and haven’t looked back. My love for yoga has only deepened, and it continues to inspire new perspectives and approaches to life. Every time I roll out my mat, I know I’ve found my way home.
I live in Edmond with my lifelong love, our two teenagers, and two adorable beagles.

My very close friend first introduced me to yoga in 2018, and it quickly became a passion of mine. When I moved to Oklahoma in 2019, I joined a Baptiste inspired power yoga studio whose owner was highly passionate about community. She quickly became my friend and mentor, and I received my 200-hour teaching trading at her studio.
I’m continuing my education by integrating the world of anatomy with the world of yoga to provide my students and myself with the best possible practices. My role as a student never stops as I have many interests in all aspects of health and wellness. My current focus is on power vinyasa inspired by the Baptiste methodology. Through its dynamic practice, it welcomes students of all levels. The sequence I share is scientifically designed to tone, strengthen, and rinse your body, clear your mind, and leave you feeling balanced and rejuvenated.
I am excited to connect and form a community as I believe that is what is needed in these modern days. I believe we all need to grow in four ways: emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. We all matter, and there’s more to come, one soul to another.

I strive to create a safe space and to make yoga accessible for everyone, guiding and educating each person on their own personal journey for good health and overall wellbeing.
I began practicing yoga in my early 20’s as I started my career as an engineer. While traveling around the US I attended classes in various cities providing me with an opportunity to practice different styles of yoga with many different teachers. At that time, I was drawn primarily to the physical benefits and challenges of yoga. Over time, I gravitated to gentle, meditative practices and in 2023 decided to pursue my 200-hour Teacher Training at This Land Yoga. This unique and rewarding experience ignited within me a desire and curiosity to deepen my understanding, thus embarking on a continuous learning path which has included studying Yogic Philosophy, Anatomy and a variety of Gentle Yoga modalities and Therapeutic Techniques.

Dr. Amanda Burke
Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Adjunct Professor
Dr. Amanda Burke was born and raised right here in Edmond, Oklahoma! She received her undergraduate degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology at Oklahoma State University. Throughout her clinical experience she has embarked on a path of exploration and discovery, both professionally and personally, that has led her to focus on women’s empowerment and healing from trauma and grief.
Through a series of “synchronous” events, Amanda found herself working primarily with women in the context of deep emotional trauma and grief. Recognizing the larger “calling” to assist women in finding themselves and owning their power, she sought additional opportunities to grow in her community outreach and wellness programming. Having been a CycleBar instructor for 5 years, she understood the impact of group and community wellness, leading her to The Yoga Spa. Here she found peace, serenity, friendship, and spiritual growth, combined with the benefits of yoga, meditation, and sound healing. She felt like it was truly a “home away from home” and the place to begin her vision of creating women’s wellness workshops. She began collaborating with The Yoga Spa with programs designed to enlighten and heal women in a supportive, trusting space that feels like a sisterhood when you walk in the door.
Amanda’s approach to teaching is enthusiastic, warm, and inviting; she asks for people to show up as their truest self and build a kinship through community and connection. She combines breathwork, mindfulness exercises, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques, and movement to cultivate a holistic approach to mental health.
Amanda believes that healing comes from blending science and spirit. It is truly through connection with ourselves and others that we experience the full gravity of finding and owning our authentic selves, unapologetically.
I invite you to come and learn with us, grow with us, and heal with us.
“My Love, to Your Love, to Our Love”
